BS EN 14112 Fat and oil derivatives - Fatty Acid Methyl Esters (FAME) - Determination of oxidation stability (accelerated oxidation test)
10 Precision
An interlaboratory test organised in 2000 at European level with the participation of 8 laboratories was carried out on 8 samples at a test temperature of 110 °C and gave the statistical results indicated in annex B.

For the repeatability and reproducibility limits obtained in the test, a probability of 95 % holds.

10.1 Repeatability
The absolute difference between two independent single test results, obtained using the same method on identical test material in the same laboratory by the same operator using the same equipment within a short interval of time, should not exceed the values given below:
r = 0.09X + 0.16
Reject both results if the difference exceeds the specified value and carry out two new single determinations.

10.2 Reproducibility
The absolute difference between two single test results, obtained using the same method on identical test material in different laboratories with different operators using different equipment, should not exceed the values given below:
R = 0.26X + 0.23

11 Test report
The test report shall specify:
- all information necessary for the complete identification of the sample;
- the sampling method used if known;
- the test method used, with reference to this European standard;
- the temperature at which the determination was carried out;
- all operating details not specified in this European Standard, or regarded as optional, together with details of any incidents which may have influenced the test result(s);
- the test result(s) obtained, or if the repeatability has been checked, the final quoted result obtained.
