5. Sampling
5.1 Sampling should be carried out in accordance with standard sampling procedures for petroleum products (Practice D4057 and Practice D4177). Obtain enough sample to allow all required determinations to be made. Divide the sample into three secondary samples: a receiver sample, a supplier sample, and a retain sample. The retain sample should itself be large enough to permit further subdivision into three portions in case additional test work is desirable.
