11. Report
11.1 Report the average as the softening point to the nearest 1 °F. If the result is required in degrees Celsius, report to the nearest 0.5 °C.

12. Precision and Bias
12.1 The following criteria shall be used to judge the acceptability of results (95 % confidence level) for softening point (cube-in-air):
12.1.1 Repeatability - Duplicate results by the same operator shall not be considered suspect unless they differ by more than 1.0 °C [2 °F].

12.1.2 Reproducibility - The values reported by each of two laboratories, representing the arithmetic average of duplicate determinations, shall not be considered suspect unless they differ by more than 7.2 °F [4.0 °C].

12.1.3 Bias - This procedure has no bias because the value of softening point is defined in terms of this test method.
